US Bancorp, Others Settle In Online Payment IP Suit

Law360, New York (January 06, 2010, 12:12 PM ET) -- Actus LLC has reached settlements with Barnes & Noble Inc. and U.S. Bancorp, further winnowing the patent-holding company's infringement suit over technology for electronic payment systems.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas signed off Monday on the dismissal with prejudice of U.S. Bancorp, based on a stipulated motion Dec. 29 saying that the two sides had reached a settlement earlier that month.

The same day, Actus also lodged virtually identical motions seeking to drop Barnes & Noble...
