CWC Drops EBay, Boeing, Others From Patent Suits

Law360, New York (January 05, 2010, 3:25 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company Clear With Computers LLC has reached settlements with several defendants — including eBay Inc., The Boeing Co. and Halliburton Co. — in two suits that accused dozens of companies of infringing CWC's computerized sales system patents.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued multiple orders Monday granting stipulated motions by CWC to dismiss the companies from the suits with prejudice. QVC Inc. and Pitney Bowes Inc. were also dismissed as defendants.
