Google Declaratory Suit Over Mobile Maps Tossed

Law360, New York (January 6, 2010, 6:11 PM EST) -- A federal judge has thrown out a declaratory judgment suit filed by Google Inc. against Emsat Advanced Geo-Location Technology LLC in a patent dispute over Google Maps, ruling that the issues would be better resolved in a related case brought by Emsat against T-Mobile USA Inc.

Judge Peter C. Economus of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on Monday granted Emsat's motion to dismiss Google's suit for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.
