Biomet Settles Trade Secrets Suit With Ex-Distributor

Law360, New York (January 08, 2010, 1:44 PM ET) -- Biomet Inc. has settled a lawsuit with a former distributor who accused the medical device maker of interfering with his business contracts and misappropriating trade secrets after he aligned with a Biomet competitor.

Judge James D. Moyer of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky dismissed the suit Thursday based on a settlement Biomet reached Dec. 11 with Randy Fields and his two distributing companies.
