Metavante Seeks Reversal In Lehman Swap Dispute

Law360, New York (January 11, 2010, 3:10 PM EST) -- Metavante Corp. has asked a federal court to reverse a bankruptcy judge's ruling that the company owed Lehman Brothers Special Financing Inc. more than $6.6 million under a 2007 swap agreement, which Metavante claims it was entitled to terminate when Lehman went bankrupt.

In an appeal brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the Milwaukee-based technology firm said the bankruptcy court had “vitiated Metavante's statutory and contractual rights.”
