Patent Suit Targets Wal-Mart, Toyota, Hertz

Law360, New York (November 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A group of defendants including Hertz Corp., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. are being sued for allegedly infringing on a patent that covers systems and methods for accessing information from a data storage system.

The lawsuit, which also names Magellan Navigation Inc. as a defendant, was filed Wednesday in federal court in northern California on behalf of SpeedTrack Inc.
