$6.6M Ariba Award Upheld In Software Patent Spat

Law360, New York (January 11, 2010, 7:24 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a $6.6 million award granted to Ariba Inc. for the infringement of two of its software patents by Emptoris Inc.

The decision, handed down Friday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, also affirmed an injunction granted by Judge Ron Clark of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas barring Emptoris from selling allegedly infringing software.
