National Union D&O Defense Case Stayed For Appeal

Law360, New York (January 12, 2010, 3:29 PM EST) -- A Delaware court has stayed a motion seeking summary judgment that National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh must advance defense costs to HLTH Corp. related to criminal charges against a legacy company’s directors and officers, holding off while the state Supreme Court weighs a key issue.

The New Castle County Superior Court ruled Thursday to stay the motion while the high court considers an appeal in the case, which involves a directors and officers insurance policy issued by National Union.
