US, Insurers Fight Dumping Duty Surety Action

Law360, New York (January 12, 2010, 6:15 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce and a group of insurers have challenged the jurisdiction of a $723 million purported class action by domestic producers of honey, garlic, crawfish and mushrooms over the government's alleged failure to collect anti-dumping duties covered by surety bonds issued to Chinese importers.
