Carbonite Settles In Computer Backup Patent Suit
Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 2:36 PM ET) -- Carbonite Inc. has become the latest defendant to settle in a patent infringement suit brought by Network Backup Corp. against a host of companies over technology for backing up computer data over the Internet.
The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday dismissed with prejudice all claims Network Backup had asserted against Carbonite. Each party will pay its own attorneys' fees, costs and expenses, though other terms of the settlement were not announced.
