FedEx Emerges With Summary Judgment Patent Win

Law360, New York (January 14, 2010, 8:10 PM ET) -- A federal judge has ruled that FedEx Corp. did not infringe five patents relating to wireless communication technologies used on its Boeing 727 aircraft, but there still are claims against it over eight patents.

In granting FedEx's motion for partial summary judgment of noninfringement, Judge John Antoon II of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida agreed that the accused system did not include each and every element of any claim of the five patents in question.
