Weiner Proposes House Version Of BPA Ban

Law360, New York (January 14, 2010, 2:35 PM EST) -- Following on the heels of a similar proposal in the U.S. Senate in late 2009, Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., has launched legislation in the House of Representatives that aims to prohibit the controversial chemical bisphenol A in baby products nationwide.

The bill, introduced Wednesday, would ban the manufacture, sale or distribution of BPA-containing food and beverage containers meant for use by children 3 years old and younger.
