Cordis Sues Boston Scientific Over Stent Patents

Law360, New York (January 19, 2010, 5:52 PM ET) -- Johnson & Johnson unit Cordis Corp. has launched a new patent infringement suit against rival Boston Scientific Corp., claiming BSC's Promus drug-eluting stents infringe three patents and unfairly compete with Cordis' Cypher stent sales.

Cordis lodged the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, seeking judgments of infringement, a permanent injunction barring the import and the sale of infringing products, treble damages, and other relief.
