Enviro Groups Fight Jordan Cove LNG Project In Ore.

Law360, New York (January 20, 2010, 1:18 PM EST) -- A coalition of environmentalists and landowners led by the Western Environmental Law Center has filed a challenge to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's approval of the Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas terminal project in Oregon, saying that the project's negatives far outweigh its benefits.

Over a dozen environmental groups filed an administrative petition Saturday asking FERC to rehear its December grant of approval for the project, a natural gas terminal near Coos Bay, Ore., and a 234-mile pipeline.
