Court Limits Atty Contact With MDs In Ortho Evra MDL

Law360, New York (January 22, 2010, 1:50 PM EST) -- A federal court has agreed to limit the contact plaintiffs' attorneys can have with physicians involved in the Ortho Evra liability multidistrict litigation out of concern the lawyers could push their theories onto doctors.

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on Wednesday granted a motion by defendants including Johnson & Johnson and Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc. to regulate ex parte contact by the plaintiffs' counsel with treating physicians.
