Microsoft Patent Suit Dropped Pending Re-Exam

Law360, New York (January 28, 2010, 6:30 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company Implicit Networks Inc. has agreed to drop a lawsuit against Microsoft Corp. while the electronic data packet patent in question undergoes re-examination, but two other cases between the parties remain pending.

Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed an order on Jan. 22 that dismissed the case without prejudice. Each party will bear its own costs.
