Cephalon Slaps Sandoz Over Generic Narcolepsy Drug

Law360, New York (January 25, 2010, 6:30 PM EST) -- Cephalon Inc. has filed suit to halt Sandoz Inc.’s plans to make a generic version of the narcolepsy drug Nuvigil, the fifth suit Cephalon has lodged over the narcolepsy drug in less than two months.

Cephalon lodged the complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware shortly after finding out about the abbreviated new drug application Sandoz filed with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for approval to market a generic equivalent of the drug.
