Canon, HP Sued Over Video, Digital Signal Patents

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 4:39 PM EST) -- Canon Inc., Eastman Kodak Co. and several other imaging giants have been hit with a patent infringement suit over digital signal and video technology.

Princeton Digital Image Corp. filed a complaint Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, saying the defendants' digital still cameras, as well as their camcorders, copiers, scanners and multifunction products, infringe two patents.

Also named as defendants are Hewlett-Packard Co., Fujifilm Holdings Corp. and several affiliated entities.
