Silicon Labs Hits Quintic With Radio Chip Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 27, 2010, 12:52 PM EST) -- Silicon Laboratories Inc. has slapped California semiconductor company Quintic Corp. and its Beijing-based affiliate with an infringement lawsuit over five patents related to integrated circuits and how they communicate via radio signals.

The Austin, Texas-based plaintiff's lawsuit, lodged Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, claims the defendants are selling microchips that infringe its patents over the Web.

The patents-in-suit are U.S. Patent Numbers 6,226,506; 7,035,607; 7,200,364; 7,199,650; and 7,355,476.
