GE, Others Slammed With Utility Sales Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 27, 2010, 1:42 PM EST) -- General Electric Co. and several utility management companies have been hit with a suit accusing them of infringing a patent covering Web-based sales systems that let users generate customized plans for reducing the cost and consumption of utilities.

EMS Technologies LLC sued GE and GE Home Technologies, doing business as AIN Group or American Integrators Network, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday.
