Insurer Asks To Wash Hands Of Oil Worker Cancer Suit

Law360, New York (January 27, 2010, 4:25 PM EST) -- Mid-Continent Casualty Co. has asked a court to rule that the insurer has no duty to defend or indemnify energy company Mayne & Mertz Inc. in litigation brought by a former worker who claims his leukemia was caused by exposure to benzene in petroleum products he transported for Mayne and others.
