Universal Health Reverses Lockout

Law360, New York (December 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- After being locked out of their hospitals by their employer, Universal Health Services Inc., on Monday, nearly 800 Las Vegas nurses agreed to return to work on Saturday under an agreement brokered by government officials.

When the Service Employees International Union called for a strike to convince Universal Health to include staffing increases on the new contract, the hospital group responded by locking out nearly 800 nurses from its Valley and Desert Springs hospitals.
