Honeywell, Others Win Combat Helicopter Crash Case

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 6:26 PM EST) -- The Boeing Co., Honeywell International Corp. and Goodrich Pump & Engine Control Systems Inc. have emerged victorious from a product liability case stemming from a 2007 military helicopter crash that killed eight U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.

Judge Claudia Wilken found that the claims against the companies fell squarely under the military contractor defense, according to her order on Jan. 21 granting all three defendants' motions for summary judgment. Final judgment against the plaintiffs was entered on Monday.
