Argosy First to Settle With Eolas In Web Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 4:33 PM ET) -- Eolas Technologies Inc. has cut a deal with Argosy Publishing Inc. in a patent suit accusing nearly two dozen companies — including PepsiCo. Inc., YouTube LLC, Amazon.com and Blockbuster Inc. — of infringing its interactive Web site technology.

Textbook publisher Argosy and Eolas filed a joint motion to dismiss all claims without prejudice Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas after reaching a confidential settlement.
