Staples Settles Assistant Manager OT Suits For $42M

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 4:12 PM EST) -- Staples Inc. agreed Friday to pay $42 million as part of a global settlement resolving several wage-and-hour collective actions claiming the office supply vendor misclassified its assistant store managers as exempt from federal overtime pay requirements.
