Boston Scientific To Pay J&J $1.7B In Stent Settlement

Law360, New York (February 01, 2010, 6:33 PM ET) -- Boston Scientific Corp. has agreed to pay Johnson & Johnson Inc. $1.725 billion to resolve a handful of stent patent disputes between the companies, including two that had been set to go to trial Monday.

Boston Scientific and J&J unit Cordis Corp. said in separate statements Monday that the settlement will avert two jury trials in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on the issue of damages.
