Motorola Wants To Rekindle RIM Phone Patent Feud

Law360, New York (February 1, 2010, 2:20 PM EST) -- Slamming Research In Motion Ltd.'s requests for patent re-examinations as merely a delay tactic, Motorola Inc. has asked a federal judge to reopen five patent suits pending between the two cell phone makers.

Motorola filed its motion Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, asking the court to lift the stay imposed on the cases as to all patents not under active re-examination and to put the cases on “an aggressive trial schedule.”
