Children's Cadmium-Laced Necklaces Recalled Per CPSC

Law360, New York (February 1, 2010, 6:25 PM EST) -- FAF Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of about 55,000 movie-themed necklaces from “The Princess and the Frog,” in response to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's crackdown on cadmium-laced children's jewelry manufactured in China.

The jewelry in question is shaped as a metal crown or frog pendant on a metal link chain necklace in a crown hinged box, according to the CPSC, which announced the recall Friday in coordination with Greenville, R.I.-based FAF. The packaging has the words “The Princess and the Frog” on it,...
