CBD Claims EPA Missed CAA Deadlines In West

Law360, New York (February 1, 2010, 6:53 PM EST) -- The Center for Biological Diversity said Monday it plans to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for failing to follow up on areas in five western U.S. states that have failed to meet air quality standards.

In a letter to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, the environmental group listed several communities in Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana and Nevada where it claims the EPA has failed to meet deadlines for ensuring particulate matter remains below dangerous levels.
