Equity Firm Ends Suit Over Failed ChemRisk Deal

Law360, New York (February 2, 2010, 6:35 PM EST) -- Private equity firm Environmental Capital Partners LLC has resolved a suit alleging that ChemRisk Inc., an ecological consulting firm that ECP sought to purchase for $8.5 million, breached a contract by considering other business deals at the same time.

Judge George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday signed off on a stipulation by ECP and ChemRisk to dismiss the case with prejudice and directed each party to cover its own attorneys' fees and costs.
