Vietnam Brings US Shrimp Duty Battle To WTO

Law360, New York (February 2, 2010, 4:33 PM EST) -- Vietnam reportedly has launched its first-ever dispute with the World Trade Organization over anti-dumping duties levied by the U.S. on Vietnamese shrimp exports.

Vietnam, which joined the organization three years ago, filed the dispute with the WTO in Geneva, but details of the complaint are not yet available.

A representative with the Vietnam Trade Office in Washington, D.C., confirmed that the case had been filed, but declined further comment.
