Google's Patent Fight Against Traffic To Proceed

Law360, New York (February 3, 2010, 5:18 PM EST) -- A magistrate judge has recommended that a federal court deny Traffic Information LLC's bid to toss or transfer a suit brought by Google Inc. that seeks a declaratory judgment of invalidity on two of its patents related to mobile traffic alerts.

Magistrate Judge Dennis James Hubel on Tuesday filed his recommendation to the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon to deny Traffic's motion to dismiss Google's suit seeking a judgment of non-infringement or invalidity on U.S. Patent Numbers 6,785,606 and 6,466,862.
