LG Settles TV Patent Spat With AtratechJapan

Law360, New York (February 03, 2010, 4:29 PM ET) -- LG Electronics USA Inc. has settled a suit brought by AtratechJapan Corp. accusing a slew of flat-screen television makers of infringing a patent for television backlighting technology.

In a joint motion filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, LG and AtratechJapan said they had settled all claims and counterclaims in the case and asked that they be dismissed with prejudice. Exact terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
