Ericsson Buys SinglePoint's Mobile Aggregation Biz

Law360, New York (February 3, 2010, 2:52 PM EST) -- SinglePoint has sold the company's mobile aggregation business to Swedish telecommunications behemoth Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will increase Ericsson's premium and standard-rate messaging services and give it SinglePoint's operator connection agreements, according to a statement released Wednesday.

"Ericsson will expand the multimedia brokering suite of services with the additional SinglePoint assets," said Scott Nichols, director of Ericsson's IPX business in North America. "Ericsson's ability to secure this opportunity with SinglePoint was a key link in our North American strategy."
