Freedom Drops Market-Cornering Claims V. Novation

Law360, New York (February 04, 2010, 6:02 PM ET) -- Freedom Medical Inc. has dropped Novation LLC from a suit that accuses the company and several other large players in the medical equipment rental industry of conspiring to monopolize the $450 million market.

Medical rental company Freedom agreed to drop its claims against Novation, it said in a motion filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Freedom had accused Novation, a deal-broker in the industry, of keeping Freedom out of a lucrative contract.
