Semiconductor Co. Atheros Sued Over Capacitor Patent

Law360, New York (February 5, 2010, 1:48 PM EST) -- Patent-holding company Lonestar Inventions LP has sued semiconductor companies Atheros Communications Inc. and PMC-Sierra Inc. for allegedly infringing a patent related to high-capacitance structures in semiconductor devices.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Lonestar accused the defendants of selling products that infringe U.S. Patent Number 5,208,725, titled “High capacitance structure in a semiconductor device” and issued in 1993.
