Last Class Claims Tossed In ReNu Infection MDL

Law360, New York (February 05, 2010, 3:47 PM ET) -- A federal judge has thrown out all remaining class claims in 14 lawsuits in which consumers sought reimbursement from Bausch & Lomb Inc. for having to discard the company's ReNu with MoistureLoc contact solution after it was linked to an eye infection.

In a Feb. 3 order, Judge David C. Norton of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina dismissed claims from 14 putative class actions, following his refusal to certify two classes of plaintiffs in September.
