Balli To Pay $17M Over Illegal 747 Exports To Iran

Law360, New York (February 05, 2010, 5:55 PM ET) -- A unit of the U.K.'s Balli Group PLC has pled guilty to illegally exporting commercial Boeing 747 aircraft from the United States to Iran and agreed to pay a total of $17 million in criminal and civil fines, authorities said.

Balli Aviation Ltd. pled guilty Friday to a two-count criminal information filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and agreed to a $2 million criminal fine, said David Kris, assistant attorney general for national security, and other federal officials.
