Sharp, Samsung End LCD Module Patent War

Law360, New York (February 08, 2010, 12:38 PM ET) -- Sharp Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. have signed a settlement agreement to end more than two years of ongoing patent infringement disputes before the U.S. International Trade Commission and in federal courts over liquid crystal display panels and modules for television and computer screens.

The electronics rivals reached a deal Friday, Sharp said in a statement Monday.

Since 2007, the companies have sued each other in the U.S., Japan, Korea and Europe, alleging that each has infringed the other's patents for LCD screen technology....
