Coloplast Sues Generics Co. Over Incontinence Patents

Law360, New York (February 9, 2010, 2:20 PM EST) -- Danish medical device maker Coloplast A/S has accused rival Generic Medical Devices Inc. of infringing two patents that cover urinary incontinence devices.

Humlebaek, Denmark-based Coloplast filed suit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, asking the court to halt GMD's alleged infringement of Coloplast sling systems, a type of implantable device used to treat female urinary incontinence.
