Vinson Answers Complaints With New Bonus Payouts

Law360, New York (February 08, 2010, 6:10 PM ET) -- Following numerous internal complaints, Vinson & Elkins LLP has reportedly increased the size of its merit-based bonuses, particularly to associates outside of New York.

Legal blog Above the Law reported Monday that the firm's New York associates were generally happy with their merit-based bonuses, which were announced at the end of January, but that the firm's Texas and Washington, associates were unhappy.

As a result, Vinson & Elkins decided to pony up more money in a round of supplemental bonuses, according to Above the Law....
