HP, Comptree Settle Ink-Jet Patent Disputes
Law360, New York (February 09, 2010, 5:11 PM ET) -- Printer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. has settled patent infringement claims brought against ink cartridge resaler Comptree Inc., putting an end to disputes between the companies in federal court and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
HP filed a notice of voluntary dismissal of its Section 337 complaint against Comptree, which it had accused of selling ink cartridges imported from China that infringed HP's patents, with the ITC on Feb. 2. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
