10th Circ. Nixes Interracial-Marriage Bias Suit

Law360, New York (February 11, 2010, 3:56 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has told a lower court to enter a directed verdict in favor of Cavalry Portfolio Services LLC, a debt-collection agency that was sued by a white employee who claimed she faced discrimination for her marriage to a black man.

In a decision Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit said the lower court must enter a judgment in favor of Cavalry in the case brought by KaRon Robinson, who defended herself in the lower court....
