DuPont, Huntsman Hit With Paint Pigment Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (February 11, 2010, 12:47 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania paint producer has accused several chemical giants, including DuPont Co. and Huntsman International LLC, of conspiring to fix the price of titanium dioxide in the United States.

Haley Paint Co. lodged its complaint on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, claiming that five companies that control all of the North American production of the chemical pigment and about 70 percent of the global market took advantage of their dominance to "raise, maintain and stabilize" the price for titanium dioxide....
