New Suit Attacks Proposed $41B Exxon, XTO Merger

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 2:11 PM EST) -- Six members of a commercial workers union have become the latest group of shareholders to cry foul at a proposed $41 billion, all-stock tie-up between global energy behemoth Exxon Mobil Corp. and natural gas and oil developer XTO Energy Inc.

The United Commercial Workers Union Local 880 members' lawsuit, lodged Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, names Fort Worth, Texas-based XTO Energy, 12 of its principals, and Irving, Texas-based ExxonMobil as defendants.
