DOJ Introduces Task Force To Tackle IP Crime

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 5:24 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has formed a new intellectual property task force aimed at strengthening efforts to combat IP-related crimes, the department announced Friday.

Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement that the formation of the task force was part of a departmentwide push to address domestic and international IP crimes.

The group will coordinate closely with state and local law enforcement partners and international agencies to monitor overall IP enforcement efforts, Holder said.
