La. Appeals Court Affirms Cert. In Insurance Fee Case

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 12:44 PM EST) -- A Louisiana appellate court has affirmed the certification of a breach of contract class action accusing Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corp. of failing to disclose an application fee to its insureds.

In a decision Friday, the Louisiana Court of Appeal for the First Circuit said that it found no error or abuse of discretion in the decision by Judge Timothy E. Kelley of the Nineteenth Judicial District Court for the Parish of East Baton Rouge to certify the class.
