Bontan Fights For Oil Rights Off Israeli Coast

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 1:47 PM EST) -- A Bontan Corp. partnership has asked a federal judge to bar Belize oil exploration company PetroMed Corp. from trying to regain control of oil exploration contracts off the coast of Israel that it sold off in 2009.

The partnership, called Israel Petroleum Co., filed a motion for a temporary restraining order Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado against PetroMed and U.K.-based East Mediterranean Exploration Co.
