WTO Appellate Body Expects Uptick In 2010 Caseload

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 4:50 PM EST) -- The World Trade Organization's Appellate Body heard far fewer cases in 2009 than 2008, but expects this year's caseload to jump, it said in a report published Wednesday.

Only three appeals were filed in 2009, with one additional appeal carried forward from 2008, the WTO said in its 2009 annual report. The figure was a slide from 2008, when the AB heard 13 cases, according to the report.
