Disney Settles With Actus Over Electronic Payment IP

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 12:43 PM ET) -- Disney Gift Card Services Inc. has become the latest defendant to settle a patent infringement suit brought by Actus LLC over technology for electronic methods of processing payments.

Disney and Actus filed a joint motion for dismissal Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and Judge T. John Ward granted the motion Tuesday.

According to the motion, Disney and Actus reached a settlement agreement on Feb. 5.
